GTS Distribution is expanding into Europe. The company announced Tuesday that it had opened a distribution facility in Dublin, Ireland along with a third-party logistics partner in Germany.
The company says the new warehouses will serve customers throughout the European Union with a staff that’s expected to reach five or six employees once the facility is fully operational.
GTS distributes trading cards, supplies, games and other hobby-related products for Topps, Panini America, Upper Deck, Ultra PRO and other businesses.
“We are excited at the opportunity to grow the European market with the opening of our new regional distribution facility,” stated David Reel, Vice President of Sports & Entertainment and Strategic Global Business Development for GTS. “The explosive growth in the popularity of the sports and entertainment collectibles category has allowed us to make this strategic move with the support of our licensed manufacturing partners.
The facility in Ireland will be servicing several existing stores in Europe and some breakers based there. They’ll also play a role in helping new shops get off the ground.
GTS is also expanding its overseas presence with additions to its current efforts in China and Hong Kong.
Headquartered in Everett, WA, GTS has nine domestic locations in the United States.
