Hobby shop owners will be getting some promotional help from GTS Distribution next month. The company that supplies stores with trading cards, supplies and other collectibles has created National Hobby Shop Day, slated for December 9.
The in-store event is timed to coincide with a time of year that often sees a lull in traffic between the hype of the Black Friday shopping weekend and the week before Christmas.
Participating retailers across the country will be provided with prizes and promotional support through GTS with the goal of increasing store traffic and revenue. For customers, it’ll be an opportunity to see what new products hit the market in time for the holidays, maybe come home with something free and get fed while doing it.
GTS Distribution will provide brick-and-mortar retailers with customer prizes including free packs, gift cards and other items. Stores will also be offered the opportunity to promote the event through the National Hobby Shop Day Facebook page and automated posts for their own pages to help reach customers. GTS is also providing shops with account credit that can be used to provide free food to customers on the day of the promotion.
