A well known name in gaming cards for years, Certified Collectibles Group launched its sports trading card division, CSG, in February 2021. In 2023, the company announced it was merging its CCG brand with CSG and unveiled its new holders. The merger made CGC the second largest overall grader of cards in the world.
The company grades both modern and vintage cards.
CGC Cards uses an industry-standard 10-point grading scale topped by a Gem Mint 10 and, for the best of the best, a Pristine 10.
In July of 2022, CSG announced it had graded one million cards faster than any third-party card grading service. A 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle graded CSG 8 sold for over $1.2 million in December of 2022 and stands as the highest priced card ever graded by CSG/CGC.
