Sports Collectors Daily is looking to add at least one writer to our team. If you have a working knowledge of the sports card hobby/industry and some significant writing experience (professional preferred but blogging certainly considered), please send an email to Rich Mueller [email protected] outlining your experience, your specific collecting interests and links to your previous work.
This is a freelance opportunity, not a full-time position and the pay is reflective of that. We can’t offer compensation that’s commensurate with larger entities or mainstream publications. However, if you have an existing blog or other web property and related social media accounts, this opportunity can provide you with potentially valuable exposure in addition to receiving some modest pay for your efforts.
We’d love to help a professional sportswriter who has been furloughed or is seeking regular freelance work and has knowledge of sports collecting. We hope you could turn pieces fairly quickly but will work with your schedule.
We’re not looking for someone to write opinion pieces and this is not a job for a first time writer or someone with only limited knowledge of “the hobby.” We prefer a candidate who has a strong knowledge of the current card market and related topics, but will consider anyone who has a proven ability to write about sports cards and sports memorabilia for an audience of dedicated, knowledgeable collectors.
