REA has kicked off its first auction of the new year with over 3,000 lots of vintage and modern cards and memorabilia.
It’s the company’s first sale on the company’s new bidding platform and under its shortened moniker.
The January auction is led by one of the 28 1980 Topps Rickey Henderson rookie cards that have been graded Gem Mint 10 by PSA. The sale comes less than a month after the beloved Hall of Famer’s untimely passing in December. PSA has evaluated over 40,000 Henderson rookie cards since its launch in 1992.
Also featured: a 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle SGC VG 40 and a 2000 Playoff Contenders #144 Tom Brady Rookie Ticket Autograph BGS MINT 9 with a GEM MINT 10 signature.
Numerous PSA and SGC graded cards form the 1948-1949 Leaf set are part of the sale, including Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, and the rookie cards of Jackie Robinson, Satchel Paige, Larry Doby, and Hal Newhouser.
Vintage collectors will see a complete mid-grade set of 1951 Topps Connie Mack’s All-Stars that includes all eleven cards, from Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth to Christy Mathewson and Honus Wagner.
