2025 Topps Pristine Baseball was AWOL as the baseball season closed but it’ll be among the first products to arrive on the market in the new year.
The 2024 edition was released in late August, but the ’25 product will debut via a Monday, Jan. 5 pre-order. Kansas City Royals star Bobby Witt Jr. adorns the front of the packaging.
Topps brought Pristine back in 2022 after a lengthy absence from the annual MLB release calendar.
2025 Pristine boxes offer six packs with a pack-within-a-pack format that ultimately kicks out 48 cards in all. Each box will have two autographs and one autographed relic card. All are signed on-card.
The 300-card base set includes current rookies, stars and former greats. New parallels will include Aqua, Pristine Aqua and Pristine Primaries. One-of-one Black parallels and SuperFractors will be among the major chase cards.
Among the new insert sets are Perseverance, Plated & Polished, and Precisionaries (if you don’t like the letter ‘p’ you may not love Pristine.
“The short-print lineup expands as well with Pearlescent, Amped, Prowlers, and Monogram, each culminating in a 1-of-1 Superfractor,” according to Topps.
Athletes who have signed autographs for Pristine include rookies, veterans and former stars.
New autograph subsets this year include Plated & Polished Autographs and Italics. Some autographed cards will carry inscriptions.
According to Topps, Pristine memorabilia cards will include “mostly” game-used materials.
Among the autographed relic subsets are Pristine Pieces, Popular Demand, and Rookie Jumbo Autograph Relics, along with the All-Star Game Pristine Pieces Autograph Relic 1-of-1.
