Upper Deck has signed an NBA star to an exclusive memorabilia deal and the number one women’s tennis player in the world to a trading card contract.
Sacramento Kings star De’Aaron Fox, the 25-year-old former lottery pick, was named the inaugural winner of the NBA’s Clutch Player of the Year Award last season when he was named to his first All-Star and All-NBA teams. He’s currently among the league leaders in scoring at 29.6 per game and is also handing out 6.2 assists per game.
Signed Kings jerseys, some of which include his “2022-23 Player of the Year” inscription, autographed basketballs with Fox’s authenticated signature, and a variety of designed autograph prints, are among the first items to be marketed.
Iga Świątek is a four-time major women’s singles champion after winning the French Open in 2020, 2022, and 2023, along with the US Open in 2022. She had been ranked number one in the world for 76 consecutive weeks.
Upper Deck is releasing Świątek’s first-ever Upper Deck trading card, a Game Dated Moment from her most recent WTA Championship win. Under the agreement, Upper Deck will be producing collectibles featuring Świątek’s image and autograph.
Collectors can also expect to see Świątek featured in additional Upper Deck products including 2023 Goodwin Champions and 2023 Skybox Metal Universe Champions and she’ll also signed autographed memorabilia for the company.
Both the Fox and Świątek deals are multi-year agreements, according to the company.
