If you’ve ever wanted to put yourself on a current year Topps baseball card (or a 1952-style design), the time has come.
Topps launched a fresher, easier to use version of its custom card tool on Monday, offering three design templates and the chance to put eight of your specially-designed cards into a pack for $9.99. Prices drop as you order more packs with 12 packs (96 cards) priced at $49.99.
You can choose to add the logo of your favorite MLB team or upload your own logo to the front of the card. Topps promises its custom cards offer the same “authentic look and feel of the standard Topps trading cards”.
Topps has offered custom cards the past but is now handling the entire process in house and enabling customers to utilize MLB team logos for the first time.
In addition to the 2015 Topps Series One Baseball and 1952 Topps templates, Topps is offering its 2015 MLS design as well, probably a good move considering the number of young soccer players in North America.
The cards are 2 ½ x 3 1/2″ inches in size and printed in high resolution on 16-pt clay-coated glossy stock. There’s a protective UV coating on the front.
Topps promises orders will be shipped in 3-5 business days.
