TRISTAR Productions says Greg Maddux has been added to the list of autograph signers at this summer’s National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago. Maddux, who began his career with the Cubs and then returned late in his career, doesn’t have the most beautiful autograph but hasn’t done shows on a regular basis. He’ll appear at some point on Saturday, August 3.
Former Chicago Bulls center Bill Wennington will also join the lineup. He’ll sign on Friday.
They haven’t played a game yet but the jerseys worn by the Boston Bruins in this year’s Stanley Cup Final are already being sold. As usual, MeiGray, which has a game-worn partnership deal with the Bruins and several other teams, is taking pre-orders for some of the jerseys the team will wear.
The Bruins will wear their Black Stanley Cup Final Set 1 jerseys in Games 1 and 2 . If the series is tied after Game 4, they’ll wear those in Game 5. The Set 2 jerseys, worn later in the series, are retained by the team and not available.
Prices range from $2,000 to $10,000 with several jerseys already sold as of Tuesday afternoon. You can see what’s available here.
You’ll soon be able to use your Kohl’s Cash to buy sports stuff.
The company has signed what it calls “an exclusive, long-term partnership” with Fanatics, the licensed sports memorabilia giant.
Beginning this fall, Kohl’s says hundreds of thousands of college and pro sports items, including collectibles, will be available through its website. Fanatics will fulfill and ship customer orders.
“We are continually seeking opportunities to evolve our product offerings in order to give our customers even more of what they’re looking for, and this expanded partnership with Fanatics conveniently brings more officially-licensed products across more favorite sports teams to Kohl’s,” said Doug Howe, Kohl’s chief merchandising officer. “Furthermore, we’re able to offer the same convenience and value that customers have come to know and love from Kohl’s – including the capability to buy via the Kohl’s App, as well as the value of earning and redeeming Kohl’s Cash.”
