Diego Maradona’s jersey from two of the most famous goals in modern soccer history will soon be taking over the title of most expensive sports jersey ever sold.
Bidding opened at Sotheby’s London Wednesday for the shirt worn by the late star in Argentina’s famous 1986 meeting with England in the World Cup and a bid of 4 million pounds ($5.2 million) has already been placed. With the buyer’s premium factored in, bidding has already surpassed the $5.6 million paid for a Babe Ruth jersey several years ago.

Bidding on the Maradona jersey is set to run through May 4. It’s on display in Sotheby’s London showroom through the end of the sale.
