The Pittsburgh Steelers are turning part of their home stadium renovation into a new memorabilia venture through a partnership with MeiGray, giving fans the opportunity to own authenticated seats removed from Acrisure Stadium (formerly Heinz Field).
The multi-year agreement will see MeiGray refurbish and authenticate thousands of decommissioned seats as the stadium undergoes a phased seating replacement project. The first phase involves approximately 22,000 seats from the Upper Level East, Upper Level West and North Club sections ahead of the 2026 NFL season.
The deal further expands MeiGray’s footprint in authenticated game-used memorabilia. The company has long been associated with game-worn jerseys and equipment from major professional leagues, particularly in hockey and basketball, but stadium relics have become an increasingly visible category as teams renovate venues and collectors seek display-worthy pieces tied to specific franchises and eras.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with MeiGray,” Steelers Senior Vice President of Business Operations Ryan Huzjak said in the announcement, noting the seats are being “sustainably repurposed and authenticated.”
The chairs come from a building that has hosted some of the franchise’s defining moments since opening in 2001 as Heinz Field before being renamed Acrisure Stadium in 2022.
Among the landmark games played there were the first regular-season game on October 7, 2001, against the Cincinnati Bengals—a 16-7 win amid a sea of American flags shortly after 9/11.
In 2005, Jerome “The Bus” Bettis powered through Brian Urlacher in a snowy 21-9 win over the Chicago Bears, sparking the team’s Super Bowl XL run.
The 2008 AFC Championship against the Baltimore Ravens stands as perhaps the most iconic: a brutal, physical 23-14 defensive masterpiece capped by Troy Polamalu’s momentum-shifting interception return, sending the Steelers to Super Bowl XLIII and the 2010 AFC Championship victory over the New York Jets that brought another Super Bowl appearance. The stadium has also been the site of memorable non-NFL events, including the 2011 NHL Winter Classic between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals.
“There’s no way to get closer to the Steelers than to own a piece of the stadium in which so many great moments occurred,” relayed MeiGray President Barry Meisel. “We’re delighted to be stewarding this project.”
Single seats are priced at $399, while pairs are available for $599. Individual seat backs and bottoms are also being sold, along with a limited number of autographed seat backs signed by former Steelers players.
The seats are being offered in the stadium’s familiar gold and gray color schemes.

A pair of seats weighs approximately 95 pounds when fully assembled. A single seat weighs approximately 70 pounds when fully assembled. The seats measure 12 inches from front to back when unoccupied.

The Steelers indicated additional seat releases are expected after future phases of the stadium replacement project are completed following the 2026 season.
