Longtime vintage sports card dealer Chandy Greenholt passed away Monday.
A regular at the National Sports Collectors Convention and numerous other shows for many year, the North Carolina native began buying and selling extensively in the 1970s.

Known for his affable nature and deep knowledge of cards that he was more than willing to share with fellow collectors and other dealers, he was actively setting up a booth at card shows until the time of his death.
Collectors have fond memories of sifting though his large inventory of cards at the many shows he attended.

Those who grade Sports Illustrated or other magazines and comic books through CCG can now have them vaulted.
The company has forged a deal with PWCC Marketplace to have graded publications securely stored in the latter’s Oregon vault.
Collectors submitting assets for authentication and grading create a free PWCC account then select “Send to My PWCC Vault” when filling out CGC’s online submission form. Comic books and magazines will be priority shipped to PWCC where they receive high-resolution imaging and are curated into a client’s PWCC Vault Portfolio. Assets can be accessed and managed via a digital portfolio and can be listed for sale any time.
A one-time $10 vault processing fee is charged per item but there’s no cost beyond that.

Leaf Trading Cards has created a pair of Reese cards—one showing her in action and the other from the championship parade in Baton Rouge. Both are being produced using the 1989 Pro Set football design.
Unsigned copies are $7.99 while those with Reese’s sticker autograph run $34.99.
The cards are print to order with a maximum run of 1,000. Once the order window closes or the cards sell out, Leaf will announce the print run and the cards will be serial numbered to that total.

The Lakers are back in the playoffs and fresh off an overtime win against Minnesota. While the franchise has won 17 championships, the greatest era of Lakers basketball was undoubtedly the 1980s. Much of the best memorabilia from that era is in the “Lakers Shrine” of SCP Auctions President David Kohler, who offers NBA.com a look back through jerseys, shoes and more.
