There have been countless multi-sport trading card products over the years, but Leaf is preparing one with all female athletes.
2024 Leaf Metal Women of Sport, a new product featuring women athletes from multiple sports, is scheduled for a Nov. 15 release. .
It will highlight some of the most accomplished athletes from the past and present.
“The sports trading card market has been male-dominated, but we’ve seen growing interest from women collectors and fans,” Director of Marketing and Licensing CJ Breen told SC Daily. “In response to this shift, Leaf has worked to ensure this set appeals to a broader audience, including women, and reflects the increasing demand for inclusivity in the hobby.
“From the start of my time at Leaf, it has been my mission to give female athletes the recognition they deserve, as they’ve historically been underrepresented in the trading card hobby. This is something I am deeply passionate about.”
