The auction, which opened Wednesday, includes hundreds of lots of historic memorabilia, vintage and modern cards and original photographs.
The bat is made up of 55.6 Troy ounces of sterling silver and was originally sourced from the Clemente family. Clemente hit .339 in 1964, kicking off a stretch of seasons in which he won the NL batting title in three of four consecutive years.
The Ruth card carries a 9 autograph grade from PSA/DNA and is the “throwing” version of the two that were part of the W517 strip card set issued in 1931.
