Leaf will be including some new “Triple Inscription” cards in an upcoming product. If one sample is any indication, they’ll be interesting.
The company teased one such “Tri Scribed” card of Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid on Monday. The booklet-style card has a photo of the three-time Super Bowl champion coach, with three sticker autographs.
One carries the typical “3X SB Champs” note, but the other two are a little different.
On one, Reid has written “Punt Pass and Kick ’71” referfing to a now famous YouTube clip where he’s shown as a very large 13-year-old, competing at halftime of a Monday Night Football game.
On the third sticker, Reid has written “I Want Nuggies,” a nod to his State Farm Insurance ad in which he appears with his quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The cards will be part of Leaf’s “Magnificance” multi-sport product due out on April 17. Each box contains one card, numbered to 5 or less with a checklist of mostly big names.
