A longtime fan-favorite product, the 2026 version of Topps Heritage Baseball steps in the batter’s box this week. We caught everything from Hobby to Megas to blasters in our shop as the week began.

Paying homage to the 1977 Topps Baseball design, this year’s Heritage tries to incorporate many of the aspects of the original product including (obviously) the design but also the four panel rookie cards, highlight cards, and other aspects of the set.

Blasters offer eight packs with eight cards per pack–not a bad number of cards for the retail product.
I didn’t take me long to hit a big rookie. The first pack I opened contained a rookie card of Kansas City Royals outfielder Jac Caglianone.

Despite an uneven start to his big league career late last year, the former top pick is still considered a potential star.

In my second pack, I hit my first of two promised dark green bordered parallels, this one of Texas Rangers outfielder Brandon Nimmo.
The third pack was fun as I found my first Pink Sparkle card of the Nats Luis Garcia, Jr. as well as another big rookie in Boston Red Sox stud outfielder Roman Anthony. After watching him in the World Baseball Classic, I’ve really become a fan of this young man. It looks like he has all the markings of super stardom.
The next pack featured my second dark green parallel but nothing else to write home (or to you) about.
It was about this time that I noticed on the card backs two definitive styles and colors. One is a very deep green and the other is a light, almost white, card back.

It’s hard to see in this picture but very noticeable in hand.
In the next pack, I hit another Red Sox (pictured)rookie in Jhostynxon Garcia.
“The Password” was dealt to my Buccos last season, so here’s hoping he can piece a solid season together in Pittsburgh.
In my next to last pack, I had my best results as I hit my second Pink Sparkle, a Turn Back the Clock of Detroit Tigers legend Miguel Cabrera and, somewhat surprisingly, a Clubhouse Collection game used bat memorabilia card of longtime Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez.

By far the coolest card in the final pack of the blaster was a Ready and Action reel of Cincinnati Reds slugger George Foster. The new insert set features past and present stars.
I rarely do more than dip my toes in the water in new product, but it is fun to get your hands on the newest thing out and for just a few bucks, this is a great way to do it, even if we didn’t pull anything spectacular.

Blasters are $24.99 and Megas, with 17 packs and their own exclusive content, are available via this link, direct from Fanatics. You can also check out boxes and singles on eBay here.
