The wait for 2024 Panini Select Football appears just about over. The annual release has been delayed but is now set for release on Wednesday, May 28.
Select Hobby boxes offer 12 packs, with five cards per pack. A typical box has two autographs, one memorabilia card, 15 parallels and six inserts. Quarterbacks Jordan Love and Justin Herbert adorn the front of the box.
A checklist is at the bottom of the page.
The base set is a whopping 500 cards, but not every base card will be created equal. Panini says the tiered theme is back with five different levels of scarcity. Last year, that included Concourse, Premier Level, Club Level, Suite Level and Field Level.
Parallels haven’t been announced yet but they’ll be part of the mix as always.
While it’s all carrying 2024 branding, collectors who happen to pull an SRC Mystery Redemption can turn it in for a rookie card from the 2025 class that’ll be delivered at a later date.
Among the hits inside 2024 Select: Jumbo Rookie Signature Swatches and Prime Selection Prizm Signatures, which carry oversized memorabilia pieces and player autographs. Rookie Signatures Memorabilia pairs last season’s top draftees with a relic.
You can’t find a simpler name for an autograph subset than “Signatures,” which will be among the subsets carrying ink.
Look for both current veterans, rookies and former stars on the autograph checklist.
Inserts include Starcade, with its old school game motif, Color Wheel and Watercolors. There will be others, too.
Lower cost H2 and blaster boxes won’t guarantee autographs but will offer some exclusive parallels.
