A Midwestern collector has turned his impressive holdings over to Hunt Auctions for the 13th annual MLB All-Star FanFest Auction, July 10 and 11 in Miami. It will share billing with items from the career of Roberto Clemente at the live auction, held at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The collection was assembled over a number of years and will include numerous significant baseball items including game used baseball bats, autographed items, and high- grade trading cards.
Auction officials say the private collector had built the collection with “a keen eye towards condition specimens and items which were considered among the very best within their particular category.” It will be offered during the opening session of what is for the first time a two-day auction event.
Several highlights from the memorabilia portion of the collection include:

Additional high condition grade baseball star cards and complete sets will also be offered during the live auction session in addition to a supplemental internet auction offering.
