Even in the late 1950s, Willie Mays was tired of autograph seekers. Rather than turn down some requests, the Sey Hey Kid apparently enlisted the help of an army buddy. Willie’s still here but the man who launched a fair share of fake Hall of Fame signatures has just passed into baseball memorabilia history.
Hopefully, God isn’t a collector.
