Last month, you may have read about the nine-year-old Massachusetts boy who sold part of his baseball card collection to raise money for the family of a friend diagnosed with cancer.
Brady Kahle is still at it.
According to MassLive, Brady has already helped raise $4,000, some of it from setting up a table at the Chicopee Boys & Girls Club show. He was back there again Sunday, hoping to add more to the Cards for a Cause account.
Brady’s friend, eight-year-old Landen Palatino, underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor and his mother had to take unpaid leave from her job to help care for him.
His generosity resulted in donations from several states and a phone call from Roberto Clemente’s widow—along with an invitation to Red Sox spring training.
Brady told MassLive for this story “it’s been crazy and fun”.
WWLP-TV stopped by as well. Watch their story below or click here.
Brady says one of his goals was also to “make sports cards cool again” and his mom says about 30 kids have started collecting cards at his school because of his efforts.
