Alan Schueler knows that even in a place some people might consider paradise, there’s a need for a hobby store. He’s been in business for awhile, but three years ago, he doubled the size of his store and began expanding into other types of trading cards and collectibles.
"Inventory doesn’t make profit," he says.
"Inventory is a liability. Only items on the sales floor make profit. Plan to spend a lot of energy keeping your inventory under control. You don’t need cases of the same item on the sales floor. Your shelf space is a very limited asset, so use it wisely."
