Game-worn jerseys and other items from the 2017 World Series are now being offered through MLB Auctions.
Items include game-worn jerseys from Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, Marwin Gonzalez, Cody Bellinger, Yasiel Puig and Joc Pederson, among others. At least some of them carry reserves. Bidding for Altuve’s dirt-stained Game 3 jersey had reached $10,000 within a short period of time after opening Thursday, but that wasn’t enough to meet the reserve thus far.
Each jersey is unwashed and carries the 2017 World Series patch. The listings offer several different images and a video clip from MLB showing the in-game action with the player wearing the jersey that’s being offered. The Altuve video clip shows him making a diving stop to retire Corey Seager during the 5-3 win that gave Houston a 2-1 lead in the series.
Several game-used baseballs and the red, white and blue bunting that hung inside Minute Maid Park during the series are also on the block.
According to Mike Acosta of Astros Authentics, more World Series game-used items will be added to the site in the coming days.
