A Colorado newspaper covers the memorabilia angle of this year’s World Series…and we now know how many packs of those Holiday Inn baseball cards were produced.
The World Series winner doesn’t shout about going to Disneyland but the champs will get their picture on the front of Wheaties boxes.
That was just one tidbit passed out by businesses with World Series related news as the 2007 World Series approached this week.
Lucky winners of a Holiday Inn baseball card-related promotion will be at the games and the hotel chain says it handed out over two million packs to Priority Club members during its May-July promotion.
The Colorado Rockies entered the series having won 21 of their last 22 and World Series fever has gripped the area–or at least the Rocky Mountain News, which had a story on the memorabilia side of things in Tuesday’s edition, explaining to novices what might be worth something someday.
