Wheatland Auctions’ latest online catalog has a sampling of icons from across the decades. While high rollers can probably find something of interest, the 800+ lot sale is geared toward collectors, with lots opening at a $5 minimum bid.
Among the top level items up for grabs is a PSA 10 1961 Topps “Mantle Blasts 565-Foot Home Run” card, lower grade 1933 and ’34 Goudey Lou Gehrig and 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth cards, A T205 Ty Cobb, an unopened rack pack box of 1986 Topps Football and an Upper Deck Authenticated Michael Jordan autographed 1997-1998 Nike Chicago Bulls red jersey with the original box and certificate.
Vintage card collectors will include many of the most popular post-War rookie cards in a variety of grades. Among them: Nolan Ryan, Frank and Brooks Robinson, Rod Carew, Johnny Bench, Wayne Gretzky, Walter Payton and Jim Brown.
The auction also includes numerous high-grade modern cards including a 2002 Upper Deck Game Used Scorecard Signatures tiger Woods (# to 25) with a PSA 10 autograph grade; a 1998 Topps Chrome Peyton Manning rookie card (PSA 10); a 1996-97 Upper Deck Kobe Bryant (BGS 9.5), a 1989 Upper Deck Ken Griffey Jr. (PSA 10) and a 2000 Upper Deck Pros & Prospects Tom Brady (PSA 9).
Numerous complete and partial vintage sets are in the auction including a 1960 Topps Baseball set.
Dozens of lots feature autographed memorabilia. Top items include Connie Mack, Ted Williams, Hank Aaron and Stan Musial single-signed baseballs, a ball signed by Jackie Robinson, Dom DiMaggio and Johnny Pesky, two baseballs signed by the late Roy Halladay, Lefty Grove and Hank Aaron signed Exhibit cards and a Tony Gwynn signed bat.
The auction also includes a large inventory of coins and currency.
