Having just concluded a $7 million catalog sale that included the $1.35 million sale of a T206 Wagner, Mile High Card Company opens its “Extra Innings” auction Monday with a mix of popular vintage and modern cards.
Leading the strong selection of vintage cards are several high-grade 1956 Topps baseball cards including PSA 8 examples of Roberto Clemente, Sandy Koufax, Willie Mays, Ernie Banks, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron and Ted Williams.
High-end 1957 Topps Hall of Famers up for grabs include PSA 8 copies of Aaron and Mays and a PSA 7 Mickey Mantle.
A PSA 9 example of the last Mantle card from his career, the 1969 Topps #500, will be up for grabs along with a 1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig and dozens of other vintage cards.
Whether you consider the 1986-87 Fleer basketball set vintage is up to you, but it is now 33 years old and a card of #33, Larry Bird, graded PSA 10 is among the basketball card highights. A complete 1986-87 Fleer set and stickers, with each card rated 8 by PSA, is also on the block.
21st century cards in the auction include some high-end cards such as a 2009 Donruss Elite #57 Mike Trout Extra Edition Turn of the Century Auto PSA 10 and a hoard of Tom Brady rookie cards that include:
- 2000 Fleer Showcase #36 Rookie Showcase PSA 9
- 2000 Bowman Chrome #236 Brady Refractor PSA 9
