The American economy is still in a bit of a holding pattern. If complete recovery means a lot more money being pumped into the sports card and memorabilia hobby, we’re probably not there yet.
Still, if you’ve got good material, the struggles of the past couple of years haven’t been devastating.
There have been record-setting prices attained on some graded cards. Collectors of the best high-grade cards still have the means to chase them down. The usual suspects—Mantle, Ruth, Cobb, Gehrig and friends–rarely lack for bidders.
Other areas of the market have been down.
