Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully is turning items from his personal collection over to Hunt Auctions, which will feature them at the annual live auction event held during MLB All-Star Week in Los Angeles.
The company made a brief announcement on Monday, showcasing Scully’s 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series ring and one of his personal L.A. Dodgers World Series trophies. The auction house is still working on cataloging the items, however and won’t have a complete list available until mid-May.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit some of Scully’s favorite charities.
He retired from his Dodgers radio play-by-play position at the end of the 2017 season and will turn 92 years old on Friday.
The All-Star Game is set for July 14, 2020 at Dodger Stadium.
