Think of the Baseball Hall of Fame and you might think of the plaques, the historic items or the displays. However, the Hall is a living museum with a mission of telling the entire story of baseball each and every year. They’re obtaining and adding new items virtually on a daily basis. Not all of it is tied to a monumental moment, either.
The Hall is a curator for baseball history, be it big or small. After all, why else would a game-worn Octavio Dotel cap be shown off in a video of ‘new arrivals’?
Players are often generous when asked to turn items over. After all, who wouldn’t want to have something inside the game’s ultimate shrine?
