Mike McCann has been a collector since his childhood, accumulating thousand of vintage sports cards. He sells, too, as Triple Cities Card Company, but not until this year had he ever set up shop at the National Sports Collectors Convention.
With transportation, hotel, meals and set up fees, every dealer has to have fairly strong sales during the five-day run of the show in order to show a profit at the end of the day.
Luckily there are enough customer dollars to go around when it comes to older cards, even though there are dozens of dealers offering very similar inventory to the thousands that pass through the Baltimore Convention Center.
McCann was busy but took a few minutes to chat about his NSCC inaugural.
