The hobby’s annual ‘Super Bowl of Sports Card Shows’ is back in Cleveland for the seventh time. The 2018 National Sports Collectors Convention opened to the public Wednesday afternoon at the I-X Center, for the first of a five-day run.
Over 700 exhibitors, including small-time dealers, big-time auction companies, grading and authentication firms and online breakers put the finishing touches on their booths and awaited the arrival of what’s expected to be a large crowd. All VIP passes sold out before the show opened on Wednesday.
Cleveland last hosted the show in 2014. This year, over 140 current and former athletes, coaches and even a few entertainers are scheduled to sign autographs before the doors close late Sunday afternoon.
From vintage unopened packs and boxes to new releases, memorabilia, high-end auction items and autographs, no matter what you collect, you can probably find someone who has something you would like to buy absolutely must have.
