The NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights are taking their game-used memorabilia in house.
The team has set up a new game-worn and game-used program called VGK Authentics and will manage the items on its website and team store.
Items such as game-worn jerseys and equipment, game-used pucks and other memorabilia will be collected from the ice or the locker room by NHL off-ice officials or the team’s equipment manager. The items are then given to team employees who will tag them with a tamper-proof hologram, enter them into a database and help process them for sale.
The team says its tracking system database “gives fans access to all the details surrounding each item, while also ensuring their memorabilia is issued by the Vegas Golden Knights and 100% authentic.”
Fans and collectors can enter the hologram number onto the VGK Authentics website and details about the item will be displayed.
GK Authentics products will be sold at at the team store, inside Terminal 3 and D-Gate at McCarran International Airport, and online.
