The NBA season has officially tipped off and even though they don’t have an official league license, Upper Deck is still cranking out its premier basketball product. 2012-13 Exquisite Basketball is set for release next month with five autographs in each six-card pack/box. The product will still carry last season’s date even though the new campaign will be three weeks old by the time the product arrives. Upper Deck has now provided a complete checklist for the product which is linked below via Excel.
All autographs in Exquisite are signed on card and will include several randomly placed signed cards from exclusive Upper Deck clients Michael Jordan and LeBron James. The company is also touting non-basketball content with autographs from two other exclusive athletes: Wayne Gretzky and Tiger Woods.
With no license, Upper Deck will jam in the autographs in hopes of wooing hit hungry collectors.
The big score will be a 1/1 book card, Exquisite 16, featuring 16 legendary NBA stars’ autographs on one fold-out heavy duty keepsake. Jordan, James, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Julius Erving are just some of the superstars who have inked it.
Late Tuesday, Upper Deck also tweeted that it will have 1/1 pulls of book cards featuring 16 Jordan autographs on one card (and another with 16 autographs of James).
There will also be several other booklet cards randomly packed.
Dual Endorsements numbered to 30, Triple Endorsements numbered to 35 or less, Upper Deck Black Signatures numbered to 99, Dual Signatures numbered to 35, Old School Signatures (40 or less) and UD Black Dual Leather Books (40 or less) are among the other signature themed cards.
Exquisite Masterpiece cards join an ode to college hoops with Collegiate Signatures and NCAA Championship Trophy cards, which honor players who won it all while in college.
There’s one base card per pack, all numbered to 99 and including a mix of past and present veterans and rookies from last season and this one. Each has 1/1 autographed parallels.
2012-13 Upper Deck Exquisite Basketball is set to release November 19.
