A new hockey product will enter the market in March when 2015-16 Upper Deck Contours arrives. Contours will be a higher-end product with one autograph or memorabilia card per pack.
Upper Deck says Contours will have five cards per pack with four packs per box. Each box promises four autograph or memorabilia cards in total along with four serial numbered base parallels or Rookie Resume` cards.
Die-cut cards will be prevalent in the product if the preliminary information is any indication.
Rookies like Connor McDavid, Jack Eichel, Max Domi and Artemi Panarin are expected to be strong drivers all season and Contours will feature them in its yet to be released checklist. McDavid, however, has an exclusive autograph deal with Leaf.
Among the major hits in Contours will be Rookie Autograph Jersey cards numbered to 199 with Patch Parallels numbered to 35 and Jumbo Jersey Fabrics and Patches numbered as low as 10.
They’ve also secured autographs from several celebrities who will apparently be sporting their favorite team’s colors in the High Profile Fans and Team Fanatics insert sets including Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Glavine pro wrestlers CM Punk and Bret Hart, skier Lindsey Vonn, NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick, TV interviewer Larry King and others. Patch parallels numbered as low as 10 will be in the mix.
The base set will have 100 cards with Red (# to 499), Blue (# to 99) and Gold (# to 10) parallels.
