An Odessa, Texas teacher is putting a little fun into his English class. Bradley Pettit had his middle school students send letters to the agents of sports, entertainment and other famous folks asking for autographs.
A surprising number have come through including Roger Staubach, Phil Mickelson, Peyton Manning and other big names.
“Yesterday, FedEx banged on the door and it was two from Taylor Swift,” said Pettit, a teacher at Bonham Junior High.
The students obtained the signatures as the result of a class project. Each of Pettit’s 160 seventh- and eighth-graders picked a celebrity and wrote a letter. He told the local newspaper it’s not the first time they’ve done it–and what they did differently to improve the results.
