MANATEE – A man admitted to stealing collectible football cards at Wal-Mart Friday afternoon to support a drug habit, deputies said.
While at the Wal-Mart, 911 53rd Ave. E., the man cut open a box of football cards and left the store with several packs, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report. He was stopped by Wal-Mart officials, as he did not pay for the cards, which were valued at $79.97.
