Collectors and dealers hoping to attend TRISTAR Productions’ February show in Houston will have to wait a little longer.
On Wednesday, the company announced it was postponing the show until June 4-6. It had originally been planned for February 12-14. The event will still take place at NRG Arena. TRISTAR’s Houston shows are among the hobby’s largest and well-attended events with hundreds of dealers and a roster of well-known autograph guests.
TRISTAR show organizers say they “conferred with officials regarding COVID-19 health and safety regulations and cited the safety of attendees, exhibitors, celebrity autograph guests, staff, and everyone involved with the event” and opted to make the change.
TRISTAR has operated shows in Houston for over 30 years but like most major shows around the country, it’s events been on hiatus since the spread of COVID-19 last spring.
“We know that collectors and exhibitors are extremely excited to return to attending large collectors conventions, and we are just as excited, if not more, to produce our 35th Annual TRISTAR Houston Show,” said Jeff Rosenberg, TRISTAR President & CEO. “By June, the expectation is that we will all be able to enjoy and focus on the joy of collecting, meeting sports heroes and obtaining autographs in person, and return safely together in person for a massive collectors celebration.”
TRISTAR, which also conducts the autograph pavilion at the National Sports Collectors Convention each summer, is currently working on guests for the June show and expects to announce the initial autograph lineup in the late spring.
“Expect an extremely exciting and diverse lineup of signers in June in Houston,” said Rosenberg. “It will be well worth the wait. The June 2021 TRISTAR Houston Show will be among the most memorable shows in TRISTAR’s history.”
