Topps dipped a toe back into one of the “other” major sports when it secured the rights to produce the NHL’s player stickers for 2019-20. Now, the company is touting its second edition. The 2020-21 Topps NHL stickers will be out in September with a set of 670.
2020-21 Topps NHL Stickers Configuration and Base Set
Like most sticker products, there will be 50 packs per box with five stickers per pack at a cost of around $40. Each pack will have one “Pillar Foil.”
There will also be a 78-page album to hold them all (sold separately) that includes 10 stickers, four of which are photo variations you won’t find in the boxes. Each case will hold 16 boxes. They’ll be released on September 30.
The 670-sticker set is 40 more than Topps produced for their inaugural set last fall. the base set includes 372 players plus 31 Season Highlights (one for each team).
The album will include a two-page spread for each team as well as spaces for other stickers in the set.
Insert Stickers
There will be 104 Insert stickers centered around Players of the Decade, Stanley Cup Playoffs and Stanley Cup Finals, Third Threads (alternate uniforms), Hockey Classics, NHL Mascots (puzzle), All-Stars (puzzle).
The Pillar Foil sets will include:
- Players & Mascots – 3 total from each team
- NHL Team Logos – 1 per team
- NHL Hart Line – focusing on some of the Hart Memorial Trophy winners from the past decade
- Stanley Cup Puzzle
- 2019-20 NHL Rookie Debuts
