Are you ready for racing suit zipper relics?
Topps will push out a racing product soon, one that should attract interest beyond North America. 2020 Topps Dynasty Formula 1 is scheduled for release on February 19, with a single autographed card per box. F1’s 2020 season was condensed by the COVID-19 pandemic but there are at least 13 races on the schedule.
The product is being produced as part of a new deal between Topps and Formula 1.
2020 Topps Dynasty Formula 1 Basics
Dynasty Formula 1 will include autographed relic cards from all F1 drivers including six-time champion and current points leader Lewis Hamilton as well as team principals. Every card pulled will be numbered to 10 or less.
The Cards
2020 Topps Dynasty Formula One Autographed Patch cards will be the “base” autographs with Red (# to 5) and 1/1 Gold parallels.
Dynasty Autographed Suit Flag and Nameplate Patch cards will be numbered to four and feature pieces from the driver’s flag or nameplate showcased on the belt of his suit. Jumbo Patch Variations for each will be 1/1.
Suit Zipper relics will combine a piece of the driver’s uniform with an autograph. They’ll be numbered to 5.
Numbered to 10, Racing Glove patch cards will include a swatch from a driver’s glove along with an autograph. Both Suit Zippers and Racing Gloves will have 1/1 parallels as well.
Constructor Team Dual Relic Autographed cards will showcase both drivers for selected constructor teams with autographs and patch pieces from each of their suits. They’ll be numbered to 10 with Red (# to 5) and 1/1 Gold parallels.
Single-Driver Autographed Dual Relic cards will carry two patch pieces from a driver’s racing suit. Triple Relic versions will have three memorabilia pieces including “one premium swatch of the driver’s protective suit liner,” according to Topps. Both will have Red and Gold parallel versions.
