Topps will toss Sterling Baseball into the ring of newly released products this week.
2008 Topps Sterling Baseball ships in less than a week and the company is offering a taste of what this year’s product has to offer.
A set made up of only retired players, Sterlilng features a total of 38 baseball legends. Babe Ruth cards, including a 1/1 autographed relic, are included as well as other cards featuring Ty Cobb, Jackie Robinson and other Hall of Famers. Topps calls it "by far one of the strongest checklists to ever grace a trading card product."
Each player-specific pack guarantees a Triple Relic Card sequentially #’d to 10 or less. Each 10-player box case includes five autographed triple relics and a 1 of 1 Jumbo Relic, with many featuring giant game-used patch pieces such as the Tony Gwynn version shown here. The "puzzle effect" is one of the chase elements die-hards will have the opportunity to go after.
