If the idea of watching Aaron Judge or Giancarlo Stanton launching tape measure home runs in person excites you, then a promotion announced Wednesday by Topps will be in your wheelhouse.
Topps said it will be giving away 10 pairs of tickets to the Home Run Derby, which will be held July 10 in Miami at Marlins Park as part of the All-Star Game festivities.
Stanton won last year’s Home Run Derby by smashing a record 61 homers — including 20 in the finals — at Petco Park in San Diego. One of his shots traveled 497 feet. Judge, New York’s right fielder, connected for a 495-foot blast on June 11 at Yankee Stadium.
To enter this year’s contest, fans should do this:
- 1. Post a picture of yourself opening a pack of 2017 Topps Baseball Series 2 on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. Topps Series 2 baseball cards hit hobby and retail shops on Wednesday.
- You must tag @topps in your social media post.
- You must use the hashtag #RediscoverTopps
The contest runs from June 14 through June 25. A picture must be posted by 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on June 25, Topps officials said. Winners will be contacted the following day.
The official rules can be found here.
The 88th All-Star Game will be played on July 12 in Miami.
