Reviews of the Topps Living Set have generally been very favorable. The new on-demand concept from the trading card partner of MLB and MLBPA showcases the 1953 style artwork with highly regarded sports artist Mayumi Seto’s work showcased on each card.
Topps offers three new cards each week via its website with a sales window lasting only seven days.
For a relatively modest price, collectors are guaranteed to own something that will have a finite print run. While some enterprising collectors and dealers have purchased hundreds at a time at a discounted rate and hope to flip them for a small profit, some of the cards issued early in the promotion are now in high demand and Topps isn’t printing anymore.
The set will “live on” past its inaugural year of 2018 to become—the hope is, anyway,–to be a set that transcends generations. It’s certainly possible that as the set’s fan base grows, even those cards with print runs in the thousands will begin to dry up. Monitoring eBay for current offerings is definitely a smart move if you’re looking to collect or sell cards from the set as time goes on.
Below is a live list of the current ‘most watched’ Topps Living Set cards on eBay. While some cards will be hot because of their low print run, others will be sought after because of their high grades from PSA or Beckett.
