The baseball card truck is set to hit the road again.
The Topps public relations campaign featuring a box truck covered in Topps cards will spend nearly three weeks traveling around the country, passing out packs of cards and offering games and prizes.
Topps first launched the tour last year.
This year’s trip starts in Los Angeles on July 16, just ahead of MLB’s All-Star festivities in Los Angeles and continues through International Trading Card Day on Saturday, August 6. The truck will make stops in eight different cities this year.
The Topps Truck, wrapped entirely in over 11,000 baseball cards, will travel more than 8,000 miles.
In 2021, Topps says the truck tour reached over 22,000 fans and collectors during a six-city tour, giving away more than 14,000 trading card packs during each stop. This year, the goal is to pass out over 20,000 packs during stops at big league ballparks and local fan events.
After its visit to Los Angeles, the truck will visit Kansas City, MO, Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, New York, NY, and Cooperstown, NY. Making its Major League Soccer debut, the truck will also stop in Minneapolis, MN for the MLS All Star Game, and will also be in Williamsport, PA for the Little League World Series. It will also return to Dyersville, IA for the Field of Dreams Game, which is set for August 11.
