Items from Tom Brady’s personal collection will be offered by Sotheby’s later this fall.
The “GOAT Collection” auction will include his final college game-worn jersey from the 2000 Orange Bowl where he his 34-46, 369-yard, four-touchdown performance led Michigan to a 35-34 overtime win. It carries a pre-sale estimate of $300,000 to $500,000.
A few months later, Brady donned a white #1 mesh jersey for the NFL Draft Combine.
Two items from his NFL career will be offered as well, including the wristband with plays he used to complete a remarkable comeback. Brady rallied New England from a 28-3 third quarter deficit to beat the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI for his fifth title.
The names of the Patriots’ plays are worth looking at, even if you can’t afford the physical item. “Zing Tally Willie Snead a 72-Foot Slush” is a good one and so is “China Boot Rodeo A Dimple.”
The wristband is expected to net $120,000-$180,000.
A Tampa Bay Buccaneers helmet used by Brady in his first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, including regular season and playoff games should also bring a six-figure price, according to Sotheby’s.
Brady was an avid watch collector and the headline items in the auction are actually a group of his personally owned and very expensive timepieces.
Some of the items in the auction will go on display in Los Angeles, Miami and Dallas before returning to New York for the auction, which is scheduled for Dec. 10.
