After 20 years in pro ball, some guys are content to sit back and do nothing. Todd Jones has been busy organizing a pretty nice sports memorabilia auction.
Todd Jones carved out a nice career, but the former closer found himself without a team after being released by the Detroit Tigers this past season.
The affable veteran had made some good money, but he’d also collected plenty of friends along the way. Before settling into a life of retirement, Jones utilized those big name contacts to acquire an impressive stash of memorabilia for an auction he’s helping put together.
Proceeds for the event benefit the sports programs at his old high school in Alabama, but judging by some of the items already on the auction roster, it might just draw folks from beyond Pell City.
