It’s that time of year again. Big league teams start clearing out the clubhouse of last year’s game used memorabilia as collectors prepare their credit cards for action.
The Detroit Tigers will host a holiday sale at the Comerica Park Pro Shop, located on the corner of Adams and Witherell, on Saturday and Sunday, December 1-2, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.
The sale will feature discounts on select Tigers merchandise ranging from 25-50 percent off the regular retail price. The new Premier On Field Jacket for 2008 will also be also be available, along with customized Tigers jerseys and authentic and game-used merchandise.
On Sunday, Tigers centerfielder Curtis Granderson will hold an autograph session from 12 noon to 2 p.m. in the Tiger Club. Autograph prices are $30 each per item, with an additional charge for inscriptions.
The Milwaukee Brewers will be hosting the 27th Annual Brewers Clubhouse Sale this Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. at Miller Park.
The sale is called the "Clubhouse Sale" because it will take place in the Visiting Team Clubhouse at Miller Park.
The Brewers will sell apparel, souvenirs and specialty items as well as rare, game-used merchandise including jerseys and bats.
Shoppers may access the Clubhouse Sale by entering Miller Park at the Hot Corner near the FanZone Store and Friday’s Front Row and follow the posted directions to the Visiting Team clubhouse. Cash and credit cards will be accepted (no personal checks).
