Card show promoters and autograph dealers are calling. Life is good for a soon-to-be NFL Hall of Fame running back.
Late in his career, he was obscured somewhat by contemporaries Emmitt Smith and Barry Sanders. To some, his Hall of Fame election may have even come as a bit of a surprise.
But there’s no doubting Thomas’ stats. Nearly 12,000 rushing yards and 88 touchdowns–to say nothing of his blocking skills–are testimony to the Buffalo Bills’ success in the 1980s and early 90s.
Thomas was at a card show over the weekend, signing autographs. It’s part of the business opportunities that come with the right to write "HOF" under your signature.
