Bob Bragalone can see Texas Stadium from his office. Or at least he could until it was blown up yesterday by a series of detonations underneath the 39-year-old structure.
Bragalone’s time as a Cowboys fan began early in the stadium’s life. He was a kid when he first started going to games, watching Roger Staubach and the Doomsday Defense.
He started collecting Cowboys memorabilia as the 70s turned into the 80s and beyond. While his own memories don’t involve much of the early days of the team, that doesn’t mean his collection is devoid of some of the team’s historic programs and memorabilia. They’re all a part of an impressive display he can show off.
Before Texas Stadium bit the dust Sunday, the team held a sale of pretty much everything that wasn’t nailed down and Bragalone was among the big buyers.
