The 2019 Ohio Sports Collector Convention, better known to hobby veterans as “Strongsville” will return for its annual three-day run late next month.
Held at the Holiday Inn Select in the Cleveland suburbs, the show suffered a tragic blow in early January when promoter Paul Fusco passed away suddenly, but the event will continue March 29, 30 and 31.
The show’s niche is that it’s focused solely on vintage material. It has roots in the 1970s when it was born and grew into one of the hobby’s most popular events, attracting dealers and collectors from all over the country.
Again this year, tables are sold out. Over 70 booths will be set up with authentication companies and auction houses joining some of the hobby’s top dealers.
New Browns coach Freddie Kitchens is scheduled to sign autographs on Saturday with other guests expected to be added.
Show hours are 12-8 Friday; 10-6 Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday. Admission is $5.00 per day with children under 12 free, plus free parking. Weekend passes for all three days are $10.00. Super Tickets are $15.00 which includes admission to all three days plus VIP entry on Friday 10 AM.
More information is available on the show’s website.
