Topps continues to use every possible opportunity to tout its 2010 baseball products and the All Star FanFest in Anaheim was no exception.
Collectors who opened three packs of Topps cards at the company’s booth were handed one of six cards in a limited edition set created exclusively for the event: Strasburg, Kendry Morales, Hideki Matsui, Torii Hunter, Rod Carew and Nolan Ryan.
Just 300 of each card were given out during each of the five-day FanFest run; a total of 1800 cards in all, but precious few Strasburg rookies. Compared to other issues, it will be hard to locate and probably quite pricey if Strasburg continues to live up to the early hype.
A few have already sold on eBay, selling for a relatively modest $30-50 each. With FanFest wrapping up on Tuesday, their availability is now limited to online buying opportunities.
A few more went up for bid in the hours leading up to Tuesday night’s game.
Here’s a current list of what’s available.
