Hundreds of pre-War cards including a PSA 7 1935 Goudey Babe Ruth headline the newest Sterling Sports Auctions online catalog.
The sale is the largest offering from Sterling in over six years and includes over 1,000 lots, ranging from 19th century baseball cards to popular issues from the modern era.
Ruth, Cobb, Mathewson, Johnson are among the names featured in the sale which includes graded and ungraded stars and commons, lots and sets from all major sports. Some lots carry opening bids as low as $15.
In addition to the Goudey Ruth, the list of top lots includes an E90-1 Tris Speaker, a 1914 Polo Grounds Joe Jackson rated PSA 7, a PSA 9 1976 Topps Walter Payton rookie card graded PSA 9, a PSA 7 1957 Topps Mickey Mantle, a rare 1906 Lincoln Publishing postcard of Chief Bender (SGC 20) an M116 Sporting Life Ty Cobb 
(pastel), an E90-1 American Caramel Tris Speaker, a PSA 9 1963 Topps Brooks Robinson and dozens of other cards featuring Hall of Famers from all eras.
There are also vintage non-sports cards among the listings, which are organized by sport and era.
The auction is underway now and is scheduled to end September 26. Initial bid must be in by 8 PM EST to be allowed in extended bidding.
